Obama Won!
What a fantastic week! A bunch of other volunteers as well as some of the people that work in the office and I watched the election results until 7AM. During Obama's speech there was a lot of clapping and tears of happiness. I am still in awe of the results and I am so proud of my home state-- my absentee ballot probably counted! The entire country of Benin and continent of Africa is celebrating with the US right now. It is amazing and exciting how much support Obama has throughout the world. Have a nice weekend everyone!

It is truly a week to remember. As I shared with other friends today via email, I have lots to think about as we enter the Obama presidency AND my last four years before I turn 60...let's be hopeful for both events! Glad to hear you were near TV for the results. North Carolina just wanted to keep the attention on them for a bit longer. So "North Carolina" - if it is not sports, it lets politics keep it in the limelight!
Here we go! On so many levels in so many places!
I don't know why I came up anonymous today...oh well. It is me. Anne
Hey Sweetheart, It was so nice to talk with you the other day. You sound wounderful. I miss you so very much you really don't know.
That was so cool to be able to see the live election results, it must have made you really proud to be a U S citizen abroad.
I will be putting some christmas goodies together for you. We have a birthday coming up soon too. How will you celebrate your birthday with your new friends and family? Going to want to see many pictures of the celebration.
Your uncle Lenny is the King of the Carlton Mardi Gras Organization this year, I think Gail & I will go down this year. Will be the first Mardi Gras for me since 1990 when we moved away from NO.
Keep up the good work You make me so "PROUD" hope you can see that smile from me.
Love Dad
